Information about the Working Arrangements during the Summer Holidays 2009

Dear International Students:
Warm greetings! The academic year 2008 – 2009 is going to finish and the summer holidays will begin on July 13 and end on September 11, 2009.
We would like to inform you of the working arrangements for the Office for International Students’ Affairs during the summer holidays, 2009. They are as follows:
一. The Working Days for the Summer Holidays:
July 14, 16, 21, 23, 28,30 (Tue. & Thurs.), 2009
August 4, 6, 11, 13,198 and 20(Tue. & Thurs.), 2009 (12 working days in all)
二. The Registration Days for the New Academic Year 2009 - 2010:
Non-degree Chinese learners: August 24 – 28, 2009.
Other categories of Students: September 7 – 11, 2009.
Special Remarks: Those continuing students with residence permits should come back to our office for registration before your residence permits expire. You are to blame yourselves if your residence permits expire before you come back to the university.
Please come to complete your procedures in our office (Room 101, Office for International Students’ Affairs, the building for the School of Chinese as a Second Language, and it is called the Red Building beside the Zijing Yuan Hotel on campus). During this period, the self-funded international students, who wish to continue to study at our university for the new academic year, should come to our office for the tuition payment. The clerks of Agricultural Bank of China will collect your tuition fees in the Office for International Students’ Affairs at 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., August 24 – 28, 2009. Please pass this news on to your classmates, thank you.
With the passports and residence permits, the Chinese Government Scholarship students on-the-study program and the full scholarship exchanged students including those studying on the Zhuhai Campus and Guangzhou University Town (Guangzhou East Campus) will have to come to our office (South Campus) for the registration and the residence permit extension during this period. Please pay attention to the following points: In line with the university’s rules, those full Chinese Government Scholarship students who fail to come back for the registration on time will lose parts of their living expenses for the scholarship.

8:30 A.M. --- 11:30 A.M.
3:00 P.M. --- 5:00 P. M.
