Information about the Working Arrangements

Dear International Students:
        Warm greetings! The first semester (the fall semester of the academic year 2008 – 2009) is going to finish and the winter holidays will begin on January 19 and end on February 20, 2009. We wish you every success during the winter holidays.

        We would like to inform you of the working arrangements for the Office for International Students’ Affairs during the winter holidays, 2009. They are as follows:

        一. The Working Days for the Winter Holidays:
        January 20 and 22 (Tue. & Thurs.), 2009
        February 3, 5, 10 and 12(Tue. & Thurs.), 2009 (6 working days in all)

        二. The Registration Days for the Spring Semester, 2009:

        The registration days for international students to complete their registration procedures in
our office (Room 101, Office for International Students’ Affairs, the School for Overseas Educational Exchange (SOEE), the Red Building beside the Zijing Yuan Hotel on campus) are February 18 – 20, 2009. During this period, the self-funded international students, who wish to continue to study at our university for the new spring semester, should come to our office for the tuition payment. The clerks of Agricultural Bank of China will collect your tuition fees in the Office for International Students’ Affairs at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., February 18 – 20, 2009. The tuition should be paid in RMB cash or use the POS machine with your AMT card for your RMB account. Please pass this news on to your classmates, thank you.
        With the passports , the Chinese Government Scholarship students on-the-study program and the full scholarship exchanged students including those studying on the Zhuhai Campus and Guangzhou University Town (Guangzhou East Campus) will have to come to our office for the registration and the residence permit extension during this period. Please pay attention to the following points: In line with the university’s rules, those full Chinese Government Scholarship students who fail to come back for the registration on time will lose their parts of scholarship.

        The degree students should go to report to the educational administrators at their own schools or departments after they complete their registration at the Office for International Students’ Affairs.

        三. The Office Hours during the Winter Holidays:

        8:30 A.M. --- 11:30 A.M.
        3:00 P.M. --- 5:00 P. M.
